Hello You - Thanks

Well holy moly, this card might have the shortest supply list EVER on my blog!  The "Hello You" Thinlits are so fab and such a focal point, so this card came together rather simply otherwise.

The colour combo - So Saffron, Calypso Coral, and Sahara Sand - is completely unusual for me.  I rarely delve into the Subtles, so to use two of them and then pair with a Neutral?!  Ha!  I never thought I'd see the day.  But I absolutely love how this turned out.

(A little tip from me to you:  when using delicate Thinlits, like the Hello You set, place a piece of wax paper between your cardstock and your die.  It will help the die cut piece lift out easily and without breaking.)

Cheers!

Porthole Shaker Card - Sea Street

Do you ever think you have a super clever idea, only to discover late (via Pinterest, of course!) that someone beat you to it?  Ack!  This nautical card with a "porthole" shaker was totally one of those.  Still totally worth sharing, though - I think it's adorable!

So adorable, right?  The Coastal Cabana Thick Baker's Twine ties into a perfect square knot to make a great nautical accent.  Sea Street is the PERFECT stamp set.  I paired this one with the "Best Dad Ever" stamp from And Many More - my dad loves to fish and spend time on the lake, so this will be heading his way on Father's Day.  Plus, he's the best dad EVER.  :)

I love adding a fun little shaker to cards - even better when paired with stamped, cut-out images that pop right in so nicely.  The octopus makes a great background and the crab and starfish float around beside him.  The "porthole" was created by stamping the outside frame with the Hardwood background stamp, then adding the Silver Mini Brads.  I absolutely love the look of it.

Thanks for popping by - I love that you take time out of your day to share with me!  Cheers!

Moonlight DSP - Birthday Card

I feel like today's post is a Public Service Announcement for a totally underrated product in our catalog.  The DSP stacks are one of the best bang-for-your-buck products in the catalog - so versatile, so fun, and so inexpensive!  12 double-sided designs (24 in total!) and 48 total sheets, all for only $8.50?!  Yes, please!

This card was made with a handful of prints from the Moonlight DSP Stack, full of fun, funky prints featuring this year's In-Colours.  Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey quickly became one of my favourite duos!

There will be no Triple-Up Thursday this week, so I'll see you again on Friday for a fun shaker card!

Watercolour Ombre Feathers

Last weekend, I posted a sneak peek of these fabulous watercolour ombre feathers on my Instagram page...

...and aren't they fabulous?!  Ooh, I just love them.  I could barely bite the bullet and put them on a card.  I might have to make another set, just to keep on my desk.  :)

The ombre (Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, and Pool Party) paired perfectly with silver touches and delicate vellum to create this pretty little card.  I love the sentiment on this one - "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful."  It seems silly, but it's something I remind myself of often.  Life is often chaotic in our home, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

See you again tomorrow.  Hope you're having a perfectly imperfect week.  :)
